SFTP By Zapier SMS Integration

Operations teams often receive files through SFTP without anyone watching the relevant folder continuously. A New or Updated File trigger can start a Mobile Message SMS when a file arrives or changes, giving the responsible person a direct notification that work is ready. This is useful for reports, imports, and scheduled files where a delay can affect the next business task.

The connection runs through Zapier, with SFTP by Zapier supplying the file event and Mobile Message sending the notification. Download File can be used in a wider Zap before the SMS step when the file must be retrieved for another process, while Upload File can move a file into the server after an inbound SMS or delivery event. Those file actions are useful only when the surrounding Zap provides a clear operational result. Mobile Message can send an SMS, create a contact, or add a contact to a list after the SFTP trigger. Each automation is one-directional and is not a native file synchronisation service. Include the file name and folder in the text, test permissions, and confirm that recipients can access any referenced location.
