An invoice needs to exist the moment an order is paid in Shopify, and before anyone can chase the customer for confirmation, both the document and the message have to be produced, ideally without a person opening a template and typing the details in themselves. PDF Maker builds the document from a Google Docs template, Create Document, while Mobile Message handles telling the customer it is done.

Through Zapier, a paid order in Shopify can run PDF Maker's Create Document step to build the invoice, then hand off to Mobile Message to text the customer that it has been generated. An overdue invoice in Xero can do the same with a reminder document, and a new Calendly booking can trigger Create Document Using Airtable to pull in session details before the confirmation text goes out. It runs as a one-way chain through Zapier rather than a sync, so PDF Maker never needs to know a reply came back.
