OpenFundraise SMS Integration

A donation arrives during a campaign, often when the fundraising team is focused on thanking supporters and reporting progress. OpenFundraise records donations, recurring gifts and supporter activity, but a personal follow-up can still be delayed. Its triggers give nonprofits a way to send a timely SMS through Mobile Message when important supporter activity occurs.

Use New Donation to acknowledge a completed gift, or New Recurring Donation to welcome a continuing supporter. New or Updated Supporter can also send a message when a supporter is created or has new donation activity. These texts can thank the donor, confirm that the contribution was received or point them towards the next step in your supporter experience.

You can also use Mobile Message’s Add Supporter Note action when an inbound SMS or delivery event should be recorded internally in OpenFundraise. That action adds a CRM note after activity in another app. Each workflow is one-directional and runs through Zapier, so you choose the trigger, action and fields. Both accounts are required, with no custom code.
