A field worker submits a Magpi form from a mobile device while the office is waiting for the result. That new record may contain a service update, inspection result or other operational detail that someone needs to see quickly. Without an alert, staff may keep checking the form rather than acting on the information.

With Zapier, Magpi's New Record trigger can run Mobile Message's Send SMS action. Send a concise alert to a coordinator, notify a supervisor about a completed field submission or pass a customer-facing update to the right recipient. Updated records can also trigger another text when a change matters, while Mobile Message can create a contact if the record includes suitable details.

Magpi remains the source of the data collection event and Mobile Message handles the outbound message. The services do not automatically synchronise records, and the SMS contains only the plain text fields you map in Zapier. Test the form data and recipient rules before enabling notifications for live field work.
