A lone worker who can check in, request help or start a shift with nothing more than a text message is a worker who stays protected without breaking away from the job at hand to open an app on a patchy connection. That is the outcome Ok Alone is built around, and pairing it with Mobile Message through Zapier means a basic phone with no app installed is still enough to keep the safety record current for every shift worked.

Ok Alone already tracks shifts, check ins, locations and help requests on its own once someone is logged into the platform. What it cannot do without help is turn an incoming text message into one of those actions automatically, since it has no way of watching for replies itself and needs another system to hand that signal across.

Once connected, a text from a worker can start or end their shift, log a check in, or raise a help request directly in Ok Alone, all from Mobile Message's Inbound SMS Received trigger doing the watching. A worker out of signal for an app but still able to send a plain text stays covered, and the record of their shift builds itself from the messages coming in rather than from someone chasing them for an update.
