Instabase SMS Integration

A team is reviewing a document conversation in Instabase and needs an answer before another task can continue. If questions and responses remain inside the platform, the person waiting may not know that a result is ready. A Zap can use Instabase’s Conversations trigger to start a Mobile Message SMS, alerting a selected colleague that a conversation needs attention or has become available.

This connection is suited to operators who use Instabase to process unstructured data and ask questions about documents. The SMS can carry the conversation details returned by Instabase, together with a reminder to open the relevant workspace. Mobile Message provides the visible notification, while Instabase remains the place where the document conversation is handled. Instabase’s Converse with Document action can also be started by an inbound SMS where the incoming text supplies a suitable question and conversation reference. That workflow needs careful field mapping and a defined recipient number. The apps connect through Zapier, not through a native shared conversation record or automatic two-way sync.

Keep the SMS concise and avoid placing sensitive document content into a message unless your process permits it. The Zap should direct the recipient to review the appropriate Instabase conversation.
