A grant round can change quickly. An application is submitted, a reviewer receives an assignment, or an allocation moves towards payment while applicants and administrators wait for confirmation. In that moment, a short SMS can give the right person a timely update without asking staff to monitor every record manually. Good Grants can trigger Zaps from events such as Application Submitted, Assignment Created and Payment Status Changed.

Through Zapier, those Good Grants events can start Mobile Message actions. A new application might send an acknowledgement, a new assignment can alert a reviewer, and a changed payment status can notify an applicant or finance contact. You can also use Application Moderated or Grant Status Changed for milestone messages that keep people informed as a decision progresses. The Zapier connection is configured around the fields available in your Good Grants records, so you can personalise the SMS with names, reference details and relevant status information.

This is a practical way to add SMS notifications to a grant workflow while keeping Good Grants as the place where applications, reviews and allocations are managed. It is not a native integration or a two-way sync. Each Zap responds to the specific Good Grants event you select and performs one Mobile Message action.
