FundraisingBox SMS Integration

A new donation deserves a prompt acknowledgement, but fundraising staff may be busy processing supporter records, campaigns and daily administration. FundraisingBox provides the New Donation trigger and actions for Create Contact, Update Contact and Create Communication Entry. Through Zapier, Mobile Message can add a timely SMS step when a gift is recorded, while separate workflows can place text activity into the fundraising system.

New Donation can trigger a thank-you message using Mobile Message's Send SMS action. The SMS can use the donor details supplied by FundraisingBox and direct the supporter to the next appropriate point of contact. If a supporter texts your Mobile Message number, Inbound SMS Received can start a Zap that creates a Communication Entry in FundraisingBox, giving staff a record of that contact. Where the necessary contact identifier is available, the same trigger can run Update Contact. These are separate one-directional automations, not a two-way synchronised CRM.

The connection helps teams acknowledge gifts and record selected text interactions without copying every detail manually. You can also use Mobile Message's Create Contact action in a separate workflow when a FundraisingBox event supplies suitable contact information. Define the fields and consent process carefully before sending donor communications.
