A customer balance changes while your team is handling payments, deposits or credits. Without an automatic alert, someone may need to check Shopwaive, find the customer and send a separate message. That manual chase can delay a useful update and leave the customer unsure whether their available balance is ready.

Through Zapier, Shopwaive's Balance Updated trigger can start a Mobile Message action. Send SMS is a practical choice for notifying a customer that their balance has changed, while Create Contact can place a new customer into Mobile Message when the required details are available. The balance value and customer information exposed by Shopwaive can be mapped into the text.

Shopwaive's balance actions, including Get Available Balance, Set Available Balance and Increment Available Balance, can also be used within a broader Zap before the SMS step where appropriate. Mobile Message does not read or alter Shopwaive balances. Each Zap has a defined trigger and action, so you can control which balance events result in a message.
