For example, pair Inbound SMS Received with Create Task so a technician or site contact can send a maintenance request that appears in Limble for follow-up. You can also use Create Contact in Mobile Message after a suitable Limble workflow begins elsewhere, keeping a person’s number available for communication. Limble’s Update Field action can update an asset field when Mobile Message receives a text containing the required value.

The available Limble triggers are List Teams, List Users and Get Fields. These are lookup-style events, so they are most useful for supplying information inside a larger Zap rather than pretending to represent a new maintenance incident. Use the connection for defined tasks and notifications, with each Zap mapping only the information the next action needs.

Can an SMS create a task in LimbleCMMS?

Yes. Pair Mobile Message’s Inbound SMS Received trigger with LimbleCMMS’s Create Task action. The message can provide the task details, while the Zap maps the sender and other available information into the Limble record.

Can Mobile Message update a Limble asset field?

Yes. Inbound SMS Received can trigger LimbleCMMS’s Update Field action. The Zap must contain the asset and field information required by Limble, so test the message format and mapping carefully before activation.

What is needed to set up LimbleCMMS SMS workflows?
