Customer conversations can become difficult to follow when a new person or feed message appears in Charles Universe and someone must manually decide whether an SMS is needed. A customer may be waiting for a reply while the team is busy managing conversational commerce activity. Zapier can pass selected Charles Universe events to Mobile Message, giving your team a defined way to send a plain text update.

Person Created can trigger a welcome or onboarding SMS when a mobile number is available. Feeds Message Created can alert a staff member that a new conversation event needs attention, or send a customer a short follow-up using the fields provided by Charles Universe. Mobile Message can also create a contact when an inbound SMS arrives, giving your team a record to work with.

Charles Universe lists one action for sending a WhatsApp template message, but this connection does not turn Mobile Message into a WhatsApp sender. That action can be used when an inbound SMS should start a Charles Universe message, with the required template and number fields mapped in Zapier. Each workflow is one-directional and separately configured.
