Charidy SMS Integration

Fundraising teams using Charidy need to respond quickly when someone supports a campaign. A new donation can otherwise sit in a dashboard until a staff member checks it, which delays a personal acknowledgement and makes it harder to keep campaign activity visible. Charidy’s Export Donations trigger gives Zapier a clear event to act on whenever a donation is made.

Through Zapier, that event can start a Mobile Message Send SMS action. A donor can receive a thank you text soon after their contribution, or a campaign coordinator can receive an internal alert with the donation details. You choose the recipient and write the message in the Zap, then map the available Charidy fields into the SMS. The workflow is useful for prompt follow-up without asking staff to monitor Charidy continuously.

This connection is focused on one practical direction. Charidy starts the Zap when a donation is made, and Mobile Message sends the resulting plain text message. It does not sync donor records or replace Charidy’s fundraising tools. Teams can create different Zaps for different campaigns, audiences or acknowledgement messages, provided the relevant donation information is available in the trigger.
