Captivate SMS Integration

Yes - Mobile Message does integrate with Captivate!

Podcast hosts and producers who run on Captivate know that publishing an episode is only one part of reaching listeners. A status change can signal that an episode has been published or scheduled, yet manually notifying subscribers can delay the launch message. Through Zapier, Captivate can start a Mobile Message SMS when an episode status changes.

Use On Change of Episode Status to send a launch notice, add a listener contact to a Mobile Message list, or send an SMS to a prepared audience. Mobile Message can also create contacts from the listener details supplied by the Zap. This gives a podcast team a direct way to announce a new episode or scheduled release using plain text.

Captivate's actions focus on private-feed subscribers, analytics and draft episodes. Mobile Message's Inbound SMS Received can therefore sensibly trigger Add Subscriber to Private Feed when a listener texts a subscription request, provided the required subscriber details are collected in the Zap. The workflow remains a selected Zapier automation, not a general sync between the two services.

Captivate + SMS: common questions

Can Captivate text listeners when an episode is published?

Yes. On Change of Episode Status can trigger Send SMS or Send SMS to List in Mobile Message. Configure the Zap to send the appropriate release message when Captivate reports the selected status.

Can an SMS request add someone to a Captivate private feed?

Yes. Inbound SMS Received can trigger Add Subscriber to Private Feed. The Zap needs the subscriber information required by Captivate, so the listener can be added when a suitable text arrives.

What do I need to automate Captivate episode messages?

Set up the workflow in Zapier by selecting Captivate's episode status trigger and a Mobile Message action. It is a no-code process, and you need both a Captivate account and a Mobile Message account connected.
