About the BotStar integration

A chatbot visitor reaches a checkpoint, requests a human, or subscribes to broadcasts, and that signal can be easy to miss among other conversations. BotStar provides a visual way to build chatbots and manage audience activity. Through Zapier, BotStar events can trigger Mobile Message messages or create contact records for the person who needs attention.

New Request for Human Takeover can send an SMS to a support person when a visitor asks for an operator. New Subscriber can create a Mobile Message contact or add that person to a suitable list, while New Tag on User can alert a team when a meaningful audience label is applied. Mobile Message can Send SMS, Create Contact, or Add Contact to List after these events.

The connection does not turn Mobile Message into BotStar's chatbot or synchronise audience records. It responds to the selected BotStar event through Zapier. Use only the visitor data available in the trigger and make sure direct SMS communication is permitted before contacting a subscriber.

Can BotStar alert staff when someone requests a human?

Yes. New Request for Human Takeover can trigger Mobile Message Send SMS in Zapier. The alert can include the visitor information supplied by BotStar so an operator knows where to follow up.

Can a BotStar subscriber become a Mobile Message contact?

Yes. New Subscriber can run Create Contact or Add Contact to List. The subscriber must provide a usable mobile number, and the intended SMS communication should meet your consent requirements.

How do I set up BotStar and Mobile Message together?

You need BotStar and Mobile Message accounts and a Zapier account to run the workflow. Select a BotStar trigger, map its visitor fields, choose the Mobile Message action, and test it. No code is required.
