About the Wodely integration

Whoever runs dispatch for a last mile delivery business spends the day watching tasks move from assigned to out for delivery to done, and chasing the handful that stall in between. A driver runs late, a customer wants to reschedule, or a pickup request comes in outside the usual booking flow, and each of those needs someone to open Wodely and update the record by hand.

Wodely already handles the task itself, creating, updating and closing out delivery and pickup jobs as the day moves along. The part that still depends on a person is catching the customer's side of the conversation, the reply that says the address is wrong or the time no longer works, and turning that into a change on the task.

Mobile Message connects to Wodely through Zapier so a reply to a delivery text can update the task status or create a new task without dispatch touching the keyboard. A customer confirming a delivery window, asking to reschedule or texting in a new pickup all become updates that land in Wodely as soon as the message arrives, leaving dispatch to deal with the exceptions rather than the routine replies.

Wodely + SMS: common questions

Can a customer's reply to a delivery text update their task in Wodely?

Yes. The inbound SMS received trigger can call Wodely's update task status action, so when a customer replies to confirm or reschedule, the task record changes on its own without dispatch opening Wodely to make the edit.

Can a text from a customer create a new pickup task in Wodely?

Yes. A reply through the inbound SMS received trigger can call Wodely's create task action, turning a texted pickup request into a new task without anyone in dispatch typing it in by hand.

How do I get Wodely and Mobile Message working together?

The two connect through Zapier, no coding required. You sign into both accounts once, choose an inbound reply or a failed delivery as the trigger, and point it at the Wodely action you want it to run before turning the Zap on.
