A new contact appears in VerticalResponse just as your team is preparing a campaign. Instead of copying details into another system, a Zap can send a timely SMS through Mobile Message. This is useful when email is not the best channel for an urgent welcome, confirmation or follow-up.

You can use VerticalResponse's New Contact trigger to send SMS, or use New List to send SMS to List when a group is ready for a message. A separate Zap can create a contact in VerticalResponse when someone texts your Mobile Message number, so replies can become part of your marketing records. You choose the fields, message content and list details in Zapier, then let the workflow run in the background. The connection works through Zapier and requires both accounts. It does not create a native two-way sync, so each direction is configured as its own Zap. This gives your team a practical way to add SMS to contact capture and list-based outreach while keeping VerticalResponse as the place where email and social marketing activity is organised.
