Membership operators using SpruceJoy can have a new member join a plan while the website team is busy with other work. A member who changes plans or cancels may also need a prompt, confirmation or internal follow-up. Manually checking membership changes and preparing each text can leave customers waiting and make routine administration easy to miss.

Through Zapier, SpruceJoy can send Mobile Message a trigger when a member is added to a plan, updated to a plan or cancelled from one. Mobile Message can then send an SMS, send an SMS to a list, create a contact or update a contact. You can use the plan and member details to personalise a welcome, change notice or cancellation acknowledgement.

This connection is useful when membership activity should result in a clear customer message without someone watching the SpruceJoy dashboard. It can also maintain Mobile Message lists by adding a member to the relevant list, or add an unsubscribe record when cancellation should stop future SMS. Each choice is configured as its own Zap, rather than a two-way membership sync.
