About the ShoutOut integration

A new supporter video becomes available in a ShoutOut project while your team is handling approvals, campaigns and customer communication. Someone may need to know that the video is ready, but checking the project repeatedly can distract from the work that gives the content value. Zapier can use ShoutOut’s New Video event to send a Mobile Message notification.

The SMS can alert a coordinator, request a review or tell a supporter that their contribution has been received. Mobile Message Send SMS is the practical action because ShoutOut’s available actions retrieve or create video data rather than sending a message to a person. You can map project information and a recipient number in Zapier. This connection does not attach the video to an SMS, and SMS remains plain text only. It is also not a native, two-way integration. A selected ShoutOut event starts one Mobile Message action, giving your team a simple notice when a new video is available without requiring manual checking.

Can a ShoutOut video be sent in an SMS?
