New Opportunity can also start an SMS when a sales record is created, while New Email Open Event can notify a salesperson that a lead has engaged with an email. On the other side, an inbound SMS can create or update a lead in SharpSpring using Create/Update Lead, so a reply becomes available in the marketing CRM for follow-up.
This connection uses Zapier, with SharpSpring providing the event and Mobile Message handling the SMS. Map the phone number and relevant lead fields, write a message suited to the event and add filters where needed. The result is more timely contact after marketing activity and a clearer record of SMS responses in SharpSpring.
