A new appointment is created while the scheduling team is handling another booking. Setster’s Appointment Created trigger can start an SMS straight away, so the customer or staff member receives the relevant details without waiting for a calendar review. Appointment Rescheduled and Appointment Canceled provide useful events for keeping people informed when plans change.

Through Zapier, Setster can trigger Mobile Message’s Send SMS action for confirmations, rescheduling notices or cancellation alerts. The message can use the appointment information available in Setster, including the details your recipient needs to understand what happens next. A reply can also start Setster’s Create Busy Time action when an inbound SMS should block a chosen period.

These workflows run as separate Zaps through Zapier. The connection does not synchronise calendars or automatically update every appointment. Instead, each selected Setster event or Mobile Message inbound message performs one configured action, giving the team control over the wording, recipient and timing.
