A customer is about to receive a useful link, but a long URL can make a plain-text SMS difficult to read and awkward to type. once.to is a URL shortener with click tracking, targeting and statistics. Through Zapier, its Create Short Link action can prepare a shorter destination before a later Mobile Message step sends the SMS.

This is a utility workflow rather than a standalone customer notification. Use a supported event from another app, create the once.to short link in the middle of the Zap, then map the returned link into Mobile Message's Send SMS action. For example, an overdue Xero invoice or a paid Shopify order can lead to a text containing a shorter destination.

The once.to triggers Get Links List and Get Domains List return lists, while Update Domain changes a domain. They do not by themselves provide a useful customer-facing event for Mobile Message. The strongest use is Create Short Link as a preparation step, with the final SMS sent only after the short URL has been returned.
