A new contact is added during a call, networking conversation or sales task, and the next follow-up can easily be forgotten while the day continues. Nimble’s New Contact trigger lets Zapier pass that event to Mobile Message. You can send an SMS, create a Mobile Message contact, add the person to a list or alert a team list.

This is useful for acknowledging a new relationship, notifying an account owner or placing a contact into a defined SMS audience. Nimble also provides Create Contact and Create Task actions, but the supplied Mobile Message triggers do not create a specific reverse workflow for those actions. The strongest use therefore runs from Nimble to Mobile Message. It does not synchronise contacts, activities or tasks between the platforms. Each Zap takes one new Nimble contact and performs one chosen Mobile Message action.

Map only the contact details needed for the result you want. An immediate SMS can confirm the next step, while Create Contact followed by Add Contact to List can prepare the person for an organised communication process. This gives teams a practical response to contact creation without manual copying.
