A contact reaches an important point in Mautic, such as submitting a form or visiting a landing page, while your marketing team is deciding what to do next. A Zapier workflow can send an SMS through Mobile Message at that moment, giving the person a timely follow-up instead of leaving the response until someone reviews the activity manually. Mautic can also create or update the Mobile Message contact for later messaging.

Mautic provides New Contact, Contact Points Changed, New Page Hit, Email Viewed, New Form Entry and Updated Contact triggers. Its Create or Update Contact action can be used when a Mobile Message event starts a workflow, but the most direct direction is from a Mautic event to Send SMS, Create Contact or Add Contact to List. Use consent and contact preferences carefully, especially when an activity such as a page visit is used as the trigger. Each Zap runs one way through Zapier and is configured around a specific event.
