A customer opens a text expecting a short plain message, not a burst of colour, so a Giphy search rarely belongs inside an SMS thread in the first place. Giphy is built for finding and sharing GIFs across chat apps, comment sections and social posts where images render properly on screen, which is a different job to the plain text that Mobile Message sends out to a mobile number. The two solve different problems, one built around visual reaction and the other around a message that reads cleanly on any handset.

Giphy does not currently list any triggers or actions that connect through Zapier, so there is no automation to build between the two platforms at this stage. Mobile Message keeps doing the job SMS does well, sending confirmations, replies and updates as plain text a phone can display instantly, while a GIF search stays a visual extra for the platforms built to show it properly, rather than something that can be texted through this connection.
