If a new order remains inside FoodStorm, staff may have to check the system, find the contact and send a separate update. That delay can create avoidable calls and uncertainty for the customer.

With Zapier, FoodStorm's New Order trigger can run Mobile Message's Send SMS action. A short text can confirm that the order was received and include the order reference or relevant timing. New Contact or New Company can run Create Contact, giving Mobile Message a usable record for later communication. Update Order can also send a notice when a meaningful order change occurs, while Update Contact can run Update Contact when contact details change.

Each workflow is one-directional and starts with a FoodStorm event. It does not imply a two-way sync or native connection. Map the fields that matter to the recipient, keep the message in plain text and test the Zap with a suitable order. This provides customers with a visible response while reducing routine manual follow-up for the catering team.
