A construction contractor opens a project folder and needs the customer to know that work has started, not wait for someone to remember a separate text. Followup CRM helps contractors track leads, jobs and bids from the cloud. Through Zapier, Contact Created can trigger Mobile Message’s Send SMS, while Project Created can create a contact or add a customer to a list.

The same approach can acknowledge a new project, confirm that a contact has been recorded or place relevant customers into a messaging audience. Project Updated and Company Updated provide further events for messages when important work changes. New File in Folder and New or Updated File can also start a communication, although the SMS should describe the available update in plain text rather than imply that a file is sent by SMS.

This keeps project coordination in Followup CRM while Mobile Message handles customer texts. It is a one-directional Zapier workflow, not a two-way connection or automatic system-wide update. You choose which Followup fields become the recipient, message content or Mobile Message contact data.
