EcoEmails checks whether an email address is real and properly formatted before anything else in a Zap happens with it. On its own it does not send anything and it does not touch a phone number, but it sits well ahead of an SMS step in a Zap that also collects an email address, catching a typo or a fake address before that contact is saved anywhere.

Used earlier in a Zap that also runs a Mobile Message action such as Create Contact or Send SMS, EcoEmails means the phone number and any other details attached to that same lead have already been through a basic check by the time they reach Mobile Message. It will not build the SMS side of the automation itself, since it has no trigger or action that talks to a customer, but it keeps the contact record it feeds into a little cleaner before Mobile Message ever sees it.
