Paired with Mobile Message through Zapier, an inbound text can create or update a subscriber in Bento and apply a tag, which in turn can trigger a flow already set up in Bento. A reply by SMS becomes the event that sets off whatever the business already does with tags in its email marketing.

The same inbound text can also be tracked as an event, giving Bento a record of the fact a customer replied by SMS, sitting alongside whatever else the business tracks there. And when a delivery status changes on a message already sent, that update can be logged as its own event too, adding SMS delivery outcomes to the same activity history a team already uses to judge how customers behave.

For a business already running its follow-up sequences and tags inside Bento, this means a text reply does not disappear once it lands.
