ActiveTrail SMS Integration

Yes - Mobile Message does integrate with ActiveTrail!

A contact is added through an ActiveTrail signup form, but the person who needs to act may not be watching the marketing platform. That event can start a Zap which sends an SMS through Mobile Message, removing the manual chase for a timely welcome or internal alert. Contact Added to Group and Contact Updated offer further points for carefully targeted messaging.

ActiveTrail manages contacts, groups and marketing activity, while Mobile Message can send operational SMS messages or maintain a contact list. Zapier passes the selected ActiveTrail fields into the Mobile Message action. This is not a native integration and it does not synchronise contact databases. A signup event can create a Mobile Message contact and add it to a list, while an unsubscribe event can add the number to Mobile Message’s unsubscribe records. These workflows can help keep messaging choices aligned when each event is mapped deliberately.

Mobile Message Inbound SMS Received can also start ActiveTrail’s Send SMS Message or Add Contact to Group actions where a reply contains a suitable recipient and the process calls for it. Keep consent, message purpose and list selection clear. Test each path before sending live communications, especially around unsubscribes and contact updates.

ActiveTrail + SMS: common questions

Can an ActiveTrail signup add a contact to Mobile Message?

Yes. Contact Added via Signup Form can trigger Mobile Message Create Contact. You can map the person’s details and mobile number, then use a separate workflow to place the contact on a Mobile Message list if needed.

Can an ActiveTrail unsubscribe update Mobile Message?

Yes. Contact Unsubscribed can trigger Mobile Message Add Unsubscribe. This records the relevant number in Mobile Message, helping prevent later SMS sends to that contact when the mapping and consent process are configured correctly.

How do I connect ActiveTrail forms with Mobile Message?

Use ActiveTrail, Mobile Message and Zapier accounts. Select the ActiveTrail event, choose a Mobile Message action, map the contact fields and test the result. No code is required, but consent and unsubscribe handling should be checked before launch.
