A customer leaves an AbleCommerce checkout with items still in their basket, and the sales team may not know there is an opportunity to recover the order. A prompt SMS can bring the customer back while the products are still relevant. AbleCommerce can pass ecommerce events to Mobile Message through Zapier, giving your store a practical way to notify customers and staff.

New Abandoned Basket is the clearest trigger for a reminder. Pair it with Send SMS and include the customer’s name, basket reference and a suitable checkout link if those fields are available. New Order can instead send a purchase confirmation or internal fulfilment alert. New User can create a Mobile Message contact when a store account is opened, using Create Contact so the record is ready for later messaging.

Use filters to distinguish guest checkouts, high-value baskets or selected order types. Keep promotional wording accurate and ensure the recipient has the appropriate permission. AbleCommerce remains the place for products, orders and users, while Mobile Message sends the plain-text SMS.
