Field teams can collect information in SurveyCTO even when they are working away from reliable office systems. A new form submission may represent a completed visit, a request for support or data that needs a quick response. If the right person only sees the submission during a later review, an important follow-up can wait longer than intended.

Through Zapier, SurveyCTO's New Form Submission trigger can start a Mobile Message action. Send an SMS to a coordinator when a submission arrives, or text a respondent with a plain text acknowledgement when a suitable mobile number is available. Mobile Message can create a contact from the submitted details and add that person to a list for an approved follow-up process. The fields passed by SurveyCTO determine what information can be included.

This setup adds an SMS notification to the data collection process without changing SurveyCTO's forms, records or offline work. Each Zap is one-directional and event-based. SurveyCTO starts the workflow, while Mobile Message sends the text or performs the selected contact action. Review permissions and consent before sending messages to respondents.
