About the StoryTap integration
StoryTap also provides an Add Invite action for its email campaign invite list. Mobile Message’s Inbound SMS Received event can therefore start Add Invite when a customer texts your Mobile Message number, provided the information needed for the invite is available. In the other direction, New Event can trigger Send SMS, Send SMS to List, Create Contact or Add Contact to List in Mobile Message. These are separate workflows with one direction each.
The setup is useful when a StoryTap event needs a quick notification or when a reply should create a campaign invitation. It does not send media through SMS or create a native two-way integration. Use Zapier to define the exact event, recipient and message for each workflow.

Yes. New Event can trigger Mobile Message’s Send SMS action. The Zap can use the event information available from StoryTap to notify a campaign manager or contact a participant by plain text.
Can an inbound SMS add someone to StoryTap invites?
Yes. Inbound SMS Received can run StoryTap’s Add Invite action. Map the sender details and any required campaign information into the invite fields supported by StoryTap.
How do I connect StoryTap and Mobile Message?
Use Zapier to select New Event or Inbound SMS Received as the trigger, then choose the action in the other app. No code is needed. StoryTap, Mobile Message and Zapier accounts are required.
