About the Patient Communicator integration

A health provider can keep patients informed from the moment an appointment is booked in Patient Communicator. New Online Appointment can start a Zapier workflow that sends an SMS through Mobile Message. New Appointment Confirmation, New Online Form and New Incoming SMS are also available events for workflows that need to respond to patient activity.

An appointment message can confirm the booking, provide preparation instructions or remind the patient which number to use for assistance. A patient confirmation can also notify a practice team member by SMS, while an online form event can alert staff that information is ready to review. Patient Communicator has no supplied actions, so it cannot receive an inbound Mobile Message event and create or update a record there. The connection runs through Zapier and is designed around a selected event and one Mobile Message action. Use only the patient information necessary for the message, test the wording carefully and follow your practice’s privacy procedures before enabling the workflow.
