Video teams using Skiv can lose time when a new upload needs to be announced manually to customers or colleagues. Skiv's New Video trigger gives a Zap a clear starting point, so Mobile Message can send an SMS when a video is uploaded. The message can identify the video, share a link if one is available and tell the recipient what to do next.

This is useful for training providers, production teams and organisations that publish internal updates. A new video can also create a Mobile Message contact or add an existing person to a list, allowing the team to organise recipients around a release or notification group. The SMS remains plain text, with any link included as text.

The connection is handled through Zapier. Skiv remains the platform for storing, managing, searching and sharing video, while Mobile Message handles the selected SMS or contact action. It does not upload videos to Mobile Message or create a two-way sync. You choose the Skiv event, map the available video and recipient fields and test the resulting notification before enabling it.
