KeyNest SMS Integration

Yes - Mobile Message does integrate with KeyNest!

A guest arrives at a self check-in apartment late at night and can't find their door code. KeyNest exists to book a new code the moment one is needed, but that code is only useful once it reaches the guest's phone. Linking KeyNest to Mobile Message through Zapier means a guest who texts in asking for access can have a fresh code booked in KeyNest and sent straight back to them by SMS, so nobody is left standing outside.

Codes are usually booked around a set arrival time, and check-in details often start elsewhere, in a Calendly booking or a Google Calendar entry. A Zap can watch for an invitee being created in Calendly, book the matching code in KeyNest, then text the code to the guest ahead of their stay. The same flow works from a calendar event starting in Google Calendar, so a code is generated and delivered without anyone at the property touching a phone that day.

For hosts managing several properties, this removes one more manual step between a booking and a working entry code. Guests get their access details automatically, at the time they actually need them, rather than waiting on an email a host has to remember to send. The setup only takes a few minutes and needs a KeyNest account plus a Mobile Message account already connected.

KeyNest + SMS: common questions

Can I automatically text a guest their KeyNest access code?

Yes. Once a code is booked in KeyNest, a Zap can pass it straight to Mobile Message to send by SMS. This works well tied to a Calendly booking or a Google Calendar event, so the guest gets their code without a host sending it by hand.

Can a guest's reply text book them a new KeyNest code?

Yes, if a guest texts in to ask for access, that inbound message can be set up to book a fresh code in KeyNest straight away. The new code can then be texted back to the guest automatically, so a host does not need to be involved.

How do I link KeyNest and Mobile Message for check-in texts?

You connect the two through Zapier, no coding involved. You will need an active KeyNest account and a Mobile Message account, then build a Zap picking the trigger and action you want, such as booking a code and sending it by SMS.
