A video team can publish media in JW Player and still leave customers waiting for news that a file is ready. Media Available provides a useful point for notifying a customer, subscriber or internal producer as soon as a conversion finishes or media becomes available. Through Zapier, that event can trigger a Mobile Message SMS with the relevant media details.

Media Updated can also send a text when an existing item changes, such as when a revised asset is ready for review. A message might direct a customer to the viewing page or tell a producer that a media item needs checking. The SMS remains plain text, so the Zap should pass a suitable URL and concise context from JW Player.

This connection helps teams make publication updates visible without asking someone to watch the JW Player dashboard. It is configured in Zapier with the JW Player trigger and Mobile Message action you need. The apps do not form a native two-way integration, and the workflow only performs the single action you define after each selected media event.
