Employees benefit when HR updates arrive as clear, timely messages rather than being buried in an inbox. GoCo can report a new employee, a completed document, a workflow completion, or a time off request. A Zapier connection to Mobile Message lets those events prompt an SMS for the employee, manager or HR team.

Send onboarding instructions when an employee is created, remind someone that a document is completed, or notify a manager when a time off request is created. You can also use an employee birthday or work anniversary as a reason to send a personal message. Each Zap can use the GoCo information available at the trigger and the Mobile Message action you choose.

GoCo also lists Create Employee and Start Workflow actions. A Mobile Message inbound SMS can start a Zap that creates an employee where the required details are available, or starts a workflow for an existing employee. These are separate one-directional automations, not a two-way HR record connection. Zapier controls the field mapping and message or workflow content.
