Operators who collect information in the field often rely on Device Magic forms to keep submissions consistent. A New Submission event can alert the right person by SMS as soon as a completed form reaches your account. That can help a supervisor respond to a site issue, confirm that a field visit has been logged, or acknowledge information received from a mobile worker.

Mobile Message can Send SMS using values from the Device Magic submission, including a recipient number and selected form answers. It can also Create Contact or Add Contact to List when a submission contains a new customer or participant. A separate Device Magic action, Dispatch Form, can send a form to a target device when an incoming SMS starts a Zap, although this is available only to trial and enterprise organisations. That creates a useful route for turning a customer text into a form task for a worker.

The connection is set up in Zapier rather than inside a native Mobile Message and Device Magic link. You select the event, map the fields and test the result before switching the Zap on. SMS remains plain text, so use the message to direct the recipient to the next action.
