A timely SMS can acknowledge the connection and help the contact remember who they met.

Zapier can pass Cardtapp’s Tapper Created trigger to Mobile Message. The resulting Zap can send a personalised SMS, create the tapper as a Mobile Message contact, or add the person to a list for referral or follow-up activity. Tapper Updated can also send an update to a selected recipient or add a contact where the event contains the right details.

This setup suits sales representatives, service providers and teams using digital cards at meetings or events. The SMS can thank someone for connecting, provide a next step or confirm that your team will follow up. It does not update Cardtapp from Mobile Message or create a native two-way record connection. Each Zap performs one defined action after one Cardtapp event.

Map the tapper’s mobile number and name carefully, and use consent-based messaging. If someone replies, Mobile Message’s Inbound SMS Received trigger can begin a separate workflow for handling that response.
