Tny SMS Integration

Yes - Mobile Message does integrate with Tny!

A customer who taps a text message link expects it to open fast and look tidy, not trail off as a long jumble of tracking parameters and campaign codes. That end result, a short clean link inside an SMS, is what Tny adds to a Mobile Message Zap.

Tny's Shorten URL action takes any link, a Shopify tracking page, a Xero invoice, a Calendly booking confirmation, an Eventbrite ticket, and turns it into a short version before Mobile Message sends the text. So when an order is paid in Shopify, the Zap shortens the tracking link first and Mobile Message texts the customer a version that fits neatly into a short message instead of running over the character limit. The same approach works for an overdue Xero invoice, a new Calendly booking or a fresh Eventbrite registration, each one texted out as a compact link a customer can tap without the message looking cluttered.

Tny also offers an Unshorten URL action, useful earlier in a Zap when a workflow needs the original destination of a link before deciding what to do with it. Combined, the two actions mean the links inside your SMS messages stay short on the way out and clear on the way in, without changing anything about how Mobile Message itself sends or receives text.

Tny + SMS: common questions

Can Tny shorten a link before Mobile Message texts it to a customer?

Yes. Inside a Zap you can place Tny's Shorten URL action between a trigger such as a new Shopify order or an overdue Xero invoice and Mobile Message's Send SMS action, so the shortened link is what actually appears in the text.

Does Tny work with more than one trigger app for SMS links?

It does. Tny's Shorten URL action can sit inside a Zap started by Shopify, Xero, Calendly or Eventbrite, so however the link is generated, Mobile Message sends a text with a shortened version rather than a long web address.

What's needed to add Tny link shortening to a Mobile Message SMS Zap?

You need accounts with Tny, Mobile Message and Zapier. Build a Zap with your chosen trigger app, add Tny's Shorten URL action in the middle, then finish with Mobile Message's Send SMS action, all without writing any code.
