TapKat SMS Integration

Fundraising teams using TapKat need to acknowledge donations while the supporter still feels connected to the campaign. A New Donation event gives your organisation a clear point for action, whether that means notifying a coordinator, recording the supporter for future communication or sending a thank-you text where permission and contact details allow it.

Through Zapier, New Donation can trigger Mobile Message Send SMS, Create Contact or Add Contact to List. Send a short thank-you message to the donor, create a contact for the fundraising team or place the supporter in a campaign-specific list. Map the donor’s mobile number and name from the TapKat event, and use filters if only certain fundraisers or donation types should send messages. This connection runs from TapKat into Mobile Message and does not update TapKat when a message is sent or delivered. Because TapKat serves U.S. nonprofits, check your consent, campaign and cross-border communication requirements before texting. Keep the message plain, relevant and clear about why the supporter is receiving it.
