Switchy.io SMS Integration

A payment link, a tracking page or a booking confirmation is often too long to put in a text message, so someone ends up shortening it by hand, or leaves the raw link in and hopes the customer does not mind. Switchy.io turns any of those long URLs into a short link, and can update where that link points later without a new one being sent. Paired with Mobile Message through Zapier, the shortened link can go straight out in a text the moment it is created.

An order gets paid in Shopify, Switchy.io shortens the tracking page for that order, and Mobile Message texts the customer the short link instead of a wall of characters copied from a shipping platform. An invoice in Xero goes overdue, Switchy.io shortens the payment link, and the customer gets a text asking them to pay using a link short enough to read on a phone.

Because Update Link lets the destination behind a short link change without a new link being sent, a business can reuse the same short link across a whole run of texts even if what it points to needs to change later, such as an updated tracking status or a corrected invoice amount. That removes the back and forth of resending links every time something behind them moves.
