A survey response arrives while a researcher is handling other work, and the important follow-up can be delayed. Survey Mechanics can notify a team member through Mobile Message when a response is received. Through Zapier, the Response trigger can start an SMS, giving the selected recipient a prompt to review the survey activity.

Use the event to alert a researcher that a respondent has replied, or send a simple acknowledgement where the available respondent details and consent support it. The Email List trigger can also be used when you need to process a respondent list, although a response event is usually the clearer moment for a visible notification. Mobile Message sends the plain text message.

Survey Mechanics includes an action for sending an email invitation, but this connection does not need that action to create an SMS alert. Survey Mechanics starts the Zap, and Mobile Message performs the selected SMS or contact action. You decide which survey, recipient and wording to use in Zapier.
