About the Harness integration

Fundraising teams often need to acknowledge a donation, respond to a failed gift or notice a cancellation while the donor still remembers the interaction. Harness provides events including New Donation, Donation Failed and Monthly Donation Cancelled, which can start Mobile Message SMS through Zapier.

A new donation can trigger a thank-you text, while a failed donation can alert a fundraising staff member to follow up through an appropriate channel. A new monthly donation can welcome a recurring supporter, and a cancelled monthly donation can notify the donor care team. Harness also offers New Donor, New Ticket Purchase and Round-Up Account Created, giving you options for different supporter moments. The SMS can include available donor or transaction fields, and filters can help limit which events create a message.

Each automation joins one Harness trigger to one Mobile Message action. It does not copy donor records or create a live two-way connection. Yes. Donation Failed can send a Mobile Message SMS to a nominated fundraising team member. The Zap can include the available failure information and can be filtered if only selected donation types should create an alert.
