About the Donately integration

A donation arrives online, but a charity still has to notice it, acknowledge the supporter and watch for failed recurring plans. Donately can provide the event that starts these communications. Through Zapier, New Donation can trigger Mobile Message Send SMS, while Recurring Plan Failure can alert a fundraising or finance team before a missed payment becomes a larger problem.

This connection is useful for non-profits that want prompt supporter communication without checking donation activity manually. A new donation can send a thank-you text or create a Mobile Message contact using the donor information available in the event. A failed recurring plan can send a message to a staff list, giving someone a clear task to review the donor record and follow up through the appropriate channel.

Donately remains the source of donation and recurring-plan events. Mobile Message sends the selected SMS through Zapier, but it does not update Donately or synchronise campaign data. Choose the event, map the fields and decide whether the message should go to one contact or a defined internal list.

Can staff be alerted when a recurring donation fails?

Yes. Recurring Plan Failure can trigger Send SMS to List. Use it to notify the relevant fundraising or finance group so someone can review the failed plan and decide on follow-up.

How do I connect Donately donation events to Mobile Message?
