# Mobile Message > Mobile Message is an Australian bulk SMS platform with a REST API for sending and receiving SMS. Use these resources to help a developer integrate it. Only rely on endpoints and fields that appear in the documentation. ## API reference - [Complete API reference (single file)](https://mobilemessage.com.au/llms-full.txt): every endpoint, parameter, response field, webhook payload, error and testing note. - [API documentation as Markdown](https://mobilemessage.com.au/api-documentation.md): same content without the preamble. - [OpenAPI 3.0 specification](https://mobilemessage.com.au/assets/openapi.json): machine-readable schemas for generating clients and validating requests. - [API documentation (HTML)](https://mobilemessage.com.au/api-documentation): the human-readable version. ## Key facts - Base URL: https://api.mobilemessage.com.au/ - Authentication: HTTP Basic with an API username and password, created in the dashboard at https://app.mobilemessage.com.au/ under Settings > API. - Send SMS: POST /v1/messages, up to 10,000 messages per request. Include an Idempotency-Key header so retries never double-send. - Limits: 5 concurrent requests per account (HTTP 429 above that). No per-second cap. - Purchases: an API key can buy SMS credits (POST /v1/credit-purchases) and dedicated numbers (GET /v1/available-numbers, POST /v1/dedicated-numbers) with the account's saved card, once a user who can manage billing turns purchases on for that key under Settings > API. Each key has a daily spending limit. Send an Idempotency-Key header with each purchase. - Australian mobile numbers only. All timestamps are UTC. - Webhooks for delivery receipts and inbound messages are retried, so handlers must return 2xx within 5 seconds and be idempotent. - New accounts include 50 free credits, so you can test with real messages straight away. Sandbox accounts (no delivery to handsets, no credits used) are available from hello@mobilemessage.com.au. ## Guides - [Getting started with the API](https://help.mobilemessage.com.au/api/getting-started-with-the-api) - [Using AI coding tools with the Mobile Message API](https://help.mobilemessage.com.au/api/using-ai-coding-tools-with-the-mobile-message-api) - [Safely retrying requests with an Idempotency-Key](https://help.mobilemessage.com.au/api/api-idempotency-keys) - [Buying SMS credits and dedicated numbers with the API](https://help.mobilemessage.com.au/api/buying-credits-and-numbers-with-the-api) - [API request logs](https://help.mobilemessage.com.au/api/api-request-logs) - [Inserting an opt-out message with the API](https://help.mobilemessage.com.au/api/how-do-i-insert-an-opt-out-message-with-the-api) - [Choosing a sender ID](https://help.mobilemessage.com.au/sending-receiving-sms/choosing-a-sender-what-are-the-options) ## Optional - [Help centre](https://help.mobilemessage.com.au/): account, billing, sender ID and compliance articles. - [Pricing](https://mobilemessage.com.au/pricing) - [Integrations](https://mobilemessage.com.au/integrations): Zapier, Make, HubSpot, Salesforce, Shopify and more. - [Regulations that apply to SMS providers in Australia](https://mobilemessage.com.au/sms-provider-regulations-australia): the Acts, ACMA standards, industry codes, memberships and penalties for anyone supplying SMS under their own brand, and the Partner Program alternative.
